Who is Dr. Martin?

Dr. Nate Martin chiropractor in Tooele

From Neurology Aspirations to Chiropractic Care
I always knew I wanted to help people. In high school, I set my sights on becoming a doctor. After serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Thailand, I returned with a deepened sense of service and direction. I began studying neuroscience at BYU with plans to pursue neurology and possibly surgery.

During that time, I took a summer off to attend a Master Body Worker massage therapy program in 2010. The hands-on work gave me my first real experiences with patients. I worked in a spa, then in a chiropractic office, where I discovered how chiropractic blends neurology, anatomy, and natural healing. That experience lit a fire: I knew this was my calling.

Formal Training & Clinical Experience
I pursued chiropractic at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating as a Doctor of Chiropractic in December 2015. Along the way I earned a Clinical Proficiency Certificate and recognition in Logan Basic Technique and the Logan System of Body Mechanics.

Wanting to expand my ability to help patients with pain and healing, I earned a 100-hour Acupuncture Certification from the University of Western States in 2018. That same year, I founded ChiroLife Chiropractic in Stansbury Park, Utah, after moving here in 2017 with my family.

My desire to help “anything with a spine” led me further: in 2020 I completed Animal Chiropractic 101, and in 2021 I became AVCA-certified in Animal Chiropractic, officially bringing dogs, horses, and other animals into the scope of my care.

Philosophy of Care
My approach is simple: find the true cause of pain instead of covering symptoms. I believe that when you improve the function of the nervous system, you can improve nearly everything else. My care is:

-Gentle and patient-centered
-Transparent, with clear visit goals and costs
-Family-focused, from newborns to grandparents
-Inclusive of pets, who deserve the same comfort and mobility as their owners
-Rooted in neurology, always seeking functional improvement

Life in Tooele Valley
I love this community. Since founding ChiroLife, and becoming a chiropractor in Tooele, in 2018, I’ve attended Stansbury Days every year as a vendor and participant. The small-town feel, the friendliness, and the way neighbors support each other make Tooele Valley the perfect place to raise a family and practice.

Outside the clinic, I’m married to my wife since 2011, and together we’re raising four wonderful kids: Locke, Link, Remi, and Hawke. Our home is always lively with pets, currently including our dogs Corvo (a Great Pyrenees mix) and Buddy (a golden retriever). Over the years, we’ve also cared for goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and even turkeys.

I enjoy riding motorcycles, camping, hiking, tinkering, the occasional video game, and most of all spending time with my family. My faith in Christ guides every part of my life and practice: it’s at the heart of why I serve and care the way I do.
