What is ChiroLife?
Or maybe the better question is…
What is the chiropractic lifestyle?
Because if your first thought is,
“Wait… lifestyle? Isn’t chiropractic just getting your back cracked?”
You’re exactly who I want to talk to.
Years ago, while I was in Texas for an animal chiropractic seminar, I visited two chiropractic offices on back to back days.
One gave me a great adjustment in just a few minutes.
The other spent nearly two hours teaching me about my spine, my health, how my body was functioning, and why I was feeling the way I was.
I still remember the second doctor.
Story in the comments. ๐
That experience helped shape what I wanted ChiroLife to be.
When I opened my practice, I didn’t want to call it Martin Chiropractic.
I wanted the name to describe an idea.
To me, chiropractic isn’t just something you do when your back hurts.
It’s part of a lifestyle centered around health.
How well do you move?
How well do you sleep and recover?
How does your body handle stress?
Are you getting stronger or slowly losing mobility?
Are you constantly chasing symptoms, or are you actually taking care of the body producing them?
Exercise, nutrition, sleep, movement, mobility, recovery, stress management, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage and rehabilitation can all be pieces of that lifestyle.
Chiropractic is one tool.
The lifestyle is the bigger picture.
The goal isn’t simply to hurt less.
It’s to move better, function better, understand your body better, and build a healthier life.
That’s ChiroLife.
That’s the chiropractic lifestyle.
Here’s the Texas story.
I was there for an animal chiropractic seminar and decided to get adjusted while I was in town.
The first office was extremely efficient.
I filled out the paperwork, spent maybe a minute explaining what I was feeling, the chiropractor did about a one minute exam, adjusted me, and I was done.
And honestly?
It was a great adjustment.
But as I was leaving, the front desk started hitting me with packages, multiple visits, different offers, and trying to get me to commit to coming back.
I left feeling adjusted, but that was about it.
The next day I found another chiropractor.
This guy was old. Honestly, he probably should have retired about a decade earlier. ๐
I filled out some simple paperwork and he brought me back.
Then he spent almost two hours with me.
He talked to me about my spine, my back, my health, how different things in my body connected, why I might be feeling certain things, my energy levels, movement, function and more.
Then he performed a thorough examination.
And only after all of that did he adjust me based on what he had found.
I walked out feeling great.
But more importantly, I walked out understanding myself better.
I remember thinking that if I actually lived there, I would probably go back.
Not because someone convinced me to buy a package.
Because I felt like that doctor genuinely understood what was going on with me.
That experience stuck with me.
I don’t want ChiroLife to simply be a place where you come in, get cracked, pay and leave.
I want you to understand what I am finding.
I want you to understand your body better.
I want you to ask questions.
And I want you to leave feeling like there is an actual plan behind what we’re doing.
That experience in Texas helped shape a lot of what I wanted ChiroLife to become.
